Greenwich Botanical Center & Greenwich Dahlia Society Present Dazzling Dahlia Show

The Greenwich Botanical Center is hosting the annual, much anticipated Greenwich Dahlia Society Dazzling Dahlia Show on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

Experienced exhibitors and novices alike come from around the region with their spectacular dahlias for judging, show and sale.

The show features an extensive range of dahlia varieties, representing all colors and the full range of sizes from the beguilingly massive dinner plate blooms to the exquisite miniatures.

The Dazzling Dahlia Show will be open to the public from 2:00-5:00pm with the event culminating in the popular sale of the dahlias promptly at 5:00pm.

Admission is $10/adult (ages 18+, children are free). The special event draws thousands of guests annually to see the huge display of flowers and appreciate the talent of the gardeners who grew them.

This year’s event will feature an auction of abundant dahlia arrangements, donated by local garden clubs, floral designers and businesses.  These arrangements will be judged by renowned dahlia expert Nsombi Woodson of The Woodson Bloomery.

Nsombi brings an intuitive, nature-led approach to floral design. In addition to judging, her practice moves between high-level creative collaboration, editorial and interior projects, private commissions, education and experiential workshops.

For those who want to bring home dahlias to enjoy, there will also be fresh dahlia bouquets for sale, in addition to the sale of the blooms from the competition.

Also available on site will be prosecco to toast the flower-filled day and gelato from Gelato & Cioccolato in Cos Cob.

The Greenwich Dahlia Society is a local group that promotes the growing and enjoyment of dahlias.  Affiliated with the American Dahlia Society, the group hosts membership meetings, garden tours, tuber exchanges and workshops, focused on nurturing dahlias.
