I am endorsing Anthony Moor for First Selectman and Rachel Khanna for Selectwoman on Row A. As a long-time Cos Cob resident and retired GPS teacher, I believe we need a change from the politics of the past. Moor and Khanna are ready for the job.
People are clamoring for homes in Greenwich, but once they’re here, they’re surprised that the town government itself is so backwards. Compared to other nearby towns, our town’s services are laughable. We need better planning to avoid costly emergencies down the road, modernized digital services that are faster and more efficient, and safer and less frustrating traffic planning and management. We also need our schools to be not only inspiring centers of learning, but structurally safe and sound. Is that too much to ask?
Our leaders need the life experience, business acumen, and communication skills necessary to run a town of this scale today. Anthony Moor brings fresh ideas and a wide range of experiences that make him an excellent candidate for First Selectman. His work as a journalist covering people, politics, and local governments around the country helped hone his communication skills. It provided him with an expansive view of what works and what doesn’t in communities. His time on the RTM and his experience as Chairman of the Transportation Committee qualify him to tackle the incessant and unsafe traffic problems throughout town.
Rachel Khanna is a skilled and multi-talented candidate, and we’d be fortunate to have her as our Selectwoman. She has already proven herself by serving on our RTM and by representing Connecticut’s 149th district at the State House, where she secured over $100 million for school construction, road safety improvements, and nonprofit services in the district. With a degree in Political Science and her previous business experience, she understands the scope of leadership required for a town the size of Greenwich. As a parent of GPS students and a former PTA board member, she is also well-positioned to address town-wide school concerns.
Greenwich needs Anthony Moor and Rachel Khanna now. We must vote for excellence, not mediocrity, on November 4th.
Note: The deadline to submit letters to the editor about candidates in the Nov 4, 2025 municipal election for consideration is Tuesday, Oct 28, 2025 at 12:00 noon.
