Anthony Moor and Rachel Khanna: The Team for our Times

Submitted by Diane Kretschmann, Greenwich

To the Editor:

This fall, I’m casting my vote for Anthony Moor for First Selectman and Rachel Khanna for Selectwoman because Greenwich deserves leaders who do more than talk about the town’s future … they plan for it and follow-through with action.

What stands out about both Rachel and Anthony is that they listen first, discuss with colleagues across the aisle and in their own party second, and then act with decisiveness and purpose.

Anthony has an unassailable combination of common sense and follow-through. On the RTM, he transformed the all-but-dormant Transportation Committee and turned it into one that actually solves problems by addressing problems with traffic congestion, the lack of parking availability, and pedestrian, bicyclist and vehicular safety. He fixes things before they break. This is not just good management, it’s prudent management that saves taxpayers money.

Rachel is a marvel. She has already proven she can deliver real results. In just two years as our State Representative, she’s brought home more than $100 million for her district — funding that’s helping rebuild Central Middle School, improve road safety, and support local nonprofits that care for seniors and children. She’s not a talker, she’s a doer. She gets things done.

Both Rachel and Anthony represent a new kind of leadership in Greenwich: practical, transparent, and forward-looking. They’re not interested in partisan squabbles — they’re focused on keeping our town strong, safe, and well run.

On November 4, I’ll be voting for Rachel Khanna, Anthony Moor, and the full Row A Democratic team. Greenwich’s best days are ahead of us — we just need the right people to get us there.

Sincerely,

Diane Kretschmann
