Three Suspects Accused of Stealing Mail from Residential Mailboxes in Central Greenwich

Greenwich Police charged three men from the Bronx on Saturday afternoon with multiple Larceny charges related to mail theft.

Police said around 1:00pm officers received a license plate reader alert in central Greenwich for a vehicle wanted with past mail theft.

Officers located the vehicle in the area of Lake Ave and Parsonage Road and conducted a motor vehicle stop without incident. Upon further investigation, police determined that  Kimarley L McKenzie, 31, Shae T Grant, 27, and Ian Devonte Brown, 20, were actively committing larceny from mailboxes.

Upon a search incident to arrest, officers discovered 7 stolen checks on Mr. McKenzie’s person. Additionally a search of the vehicle revealed 30 stolen pieces of mail, 78 checks and stolen items totaling approximately $3,700.

Each was charged with:

Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 1, Larceny 3, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 3, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 5, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 6 (30 counts), Conspiracy to Commit Identity Theft >$10k and 85 counts of Conspiracy to Commit Identity Theft 3.

Mr. McKenzie’s bond was set at $50,000 which he was unable to post. He was assigned a date of July 21, 2025  in Stamford superior Court.

Mr. Grant’s bond was set at $10,000, which he was able to post. He was assigned a date of July 28, 2025  in Stamford superior Court.

Mr. Brown’s bond was set at $10,000, which he was able to post. He was assigned a date of July 28, 2025  in Stamford superior Court.
