The local Democratic party claims in a recent email blast that their “State Reps, Steve Meskers, Rachel Khana and Hector Arenzo, have brought home the bacon – over $ 100 million.” The email then distorts the facts.
It claims that the Democrats got $20 million for Central Middle School, roughly $15 million more than anticipated. WRONG. According to established formula, Greenwich already was entitled to about $ 8 million in reimbursement.
Then it claims that the Reps brought new life to the Glenville Corridor Project with a $6.5 million grant. WRONG. It was the town’s Department of Public Works that applied for the additional funds in a separate program from the original grant, and the amount of the added funds was about $3 million.
So how do they get to $100 million. The email does not reconcile that, but I suppose it must include other communities.
Please do not be fooled by Democrat distortions of facts. Please vote Row B for Republicans who will help rebalance the legislature that is two percentage points away from a super majority.
Thank you
Harry Fisher
