Greenwich Silver Shield to Honor GPD Sergeant Jason Lyman

On Tuesday, May 14, the Greenwich Silver Shield Association is proud to announce that Sergeant Jason Lyman will be honored for his exceptional dedication and service to the citizens of Greenwich.

The ceremony will take place on  at 6:00pm on the steps of Greenwich Town Hall.

According to the Silver Shield, Sergeant Lyman’s commitment to the safety and well-being of our community has been exemplary.

The State of Connecticut will present a citation to Sergeant Lyman, which will be awarded by State Senator Ryan Fazio (R-36).

Additionally, the Town of Greenwich will bestow a proclamation, to be presented by First Selectman Fred Camillo, acknowledging Sergeant Lyman’s outstanding service.

In addition, the Greenwich Silver Shield Association will present Sergeant Lyman with an Award of Excellence, recognizing his unwavering dedication and commendable efforts in upholding the values of law enforcement.

This award will be bestowed upon Sergeant Lyman by Silver Shield President Pete Schmitt.

The Silver Shield promise the ceremony will be a memorable event, and members of the general public are encouraged to attend to show their support and appreciation for Sergeant Jason Lyman and his remarkable service to our community.

Back in 2015 Sergeant Lyman, then a police officer, received a Meritorious Police Duty Medal at a ceremony at Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center.
