The Greenwich Property Owners Association will offer a meeting to understand the tax revaluation and appeal process on March 2 at 8:00am at 49 River Road, Cos Cob, (Upper level of Clubhouse.)
The topic is understanding the tax revaluation and appeal process. The featured speakers are Scott Kelland and Peter Trefny.

8:20-9:30am Question & Answer About the speakers: Scott Kelland, President & CEO of Kelland Capital Management, Inc. Real Estate Development Consulting & Valuation Advisory Services. Projects have included the development of several multi-unit condominium projects, master planned communities, golf course developments and custom estate home development.
KCM acted as an independent contractor for fee appraisal services with a few select independent appraisal firms. KCM/Scott E.P. Kelland has been approved and completed several assignments with the major national as well as international banks. KCM does extensive work in expert testimony, tax appeal, private evaluation as well as valuations services outside the scope of appraisal services.
Peter Trefny is a licensed appraiser and Greenwich native who began his appraisal career in 1970. He has worked with many assessors over the years and has been a consultant to the Town as well as an appraiser and adviser on behalf of property owners. He is an advocate for equitable assessments based on realistic market value whether his client is the Town of an individual property owner.
Together, they will help to explain the factors that go into formulating these values and answer questions about valuation and the Board of Assessment Appeals process. RSVP required, free to current GPOA Members, $15 for non-members.
