Man Charged with Operating a Drug Factory within 1500 ft of School Zone

On July 31 Greenwich police responded to 15 Locust Street on a report of a 22-year old man throwing objects around an apartment and refusing to leave.

Police say that after searching the reporting party’s apartment for the suspect, later identified by his NY state Driver’s License as Christofer Valitutto, 22, of Cortlandt Manor, NY, multiple potted plants suspected to be marijuana were growing in a hydroponic grow container.

They also saw drug paraphernalia and a loose leafy green substance were found in plain view in Valitutto’s bedroom.

Valitutto was charged with disorderly Conduct, Possession of Controlled Substance Greater than 1/2 Oz Cannabis, Possession with Intent to sell Controlled Substance within 1,500 ft of a School Zone, and Operating of a Drug Factory.

His bond was set at $2500 and he was assigned an appearance on Aug 14, 2020 in Stamford Superior Court.
