GPD: Man Fraudulently Charge iPhone Online, Had it Delivered to Vacant House

Back in May a Bridgeport man allegedly used someone else’s identity to purchase an iPhone for $1,249 online.

Freddie Jimenez, 28, of North Avenue, Bridgeport, was charged on an outstanding warrant after he turned himself in at Greenwich Police headquarters on July 29.

Police say Jimenez had the iPhone delivered to a vacant address in Cos Cob, and that he arrived at the address after the package was delivered and entered the property while looking to retrieve the phone.

He was charged with Identity Theft, Criminal Attempt Larceny, Criminal Attempt at identity Theft and Simple Trespass.

His bond was set at $25,000, which he was able to post. He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Aug 12, 2020.
