Greenwich Police Escorts Abilis “Care-avan” to Spread Love to Abilis Residents during Pandemic

The Greenwich Junior United Way wanted to spread love to Abilis residents who have had a decrease in social interactions over the last year due to Covid-19 restrictions and precautions to keep the residents safe.

This “Care-avan was accompanied by a Greenwich police escort and visited eight Abilis homes throughout Greenwich, stopping by each home and presenting residents with a gift basket and flowers to help brighten their day.

Abilis is celebrating its 70th year this year of being non-profit organization that supports more than 800 individuals with special needs and their families from birth throughout their lives.

Abilis offers early intervention programs for birth-to-three, custom therapy, activity programs, business training and life skills as well as residential homes in lower Fairfield County.
