Sacred Heart Greenwich Celebrates the 176th Graduating Class

Sacred Heart Greenwich, an all-girls, independent, Catholic school, last Friday celebrated the graduation of its 176th class, comprising 76 young women.

Among the 76 graduates, Sacred Heart Greenwich celebrated were 15 “lifers” who have attended since Lower School, and 13 student-athletes committed to playing collegiate sports.

 

In addition, the senior class has been recognized by countless organizations, including the National Merit Scholarship, the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, the American Scholastic Press Association, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and the YWCA, to name a few. Valedictorian Emily Shull of Riverside, who will attend Brown University, and Salutatorian Anne Hughes of Rye, who will attend the University of Virginia, will both deliver remarks during the commencement ceremony.

Samantha Saperstein, Global Head of the Office of Women’s Affairs at JPMorgan Chase, delivered the keynote address.

Throughout her career, Saperstein has helped enable women and communities to grow their businesses, build their financial literacy, and advance in their careers. She previously served as Chief Marketing Officer of Chase Commercial Banking, where she led the marketing, communications, and client experience functions. Prior to this, she was the Head of Credit Card Strategy for Chase Consumer & Community Banking. Saperstein earned her Bachelor of Arts from Brown University and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Baber, President of Sacred Heart Greenwich. “Our graduates have distinguished themselves as scholars, athletes, artists, and changemakers. Samantha’s leadership and advocacy for women’s advancement perfectly complement the spirit of this class. We look forward to the inspiration she—and our student speakers—will bring to this milestone moment.”

Saperstein is dedicated to advocacy and service. She serves on the Board of Safe Horizon, the nation’s largest victims’ services agency supporting individuals affected by domestic violence, child abuse, human trafficking, and youth homelessness. She is also a member of the Board of Advisors for Catalyst, a nonprofit focused on advancing women in the workplace. Saperstein resides in Westchester, New York, with her husband and three children.
