The International School at Dundee (ISD) is turning 25 and the community is invited to celebrate. ISD will host an Open House on Thursday, May 28, from 4:00-5:30pm at its campus at 55 Florence Road in Riverside, bringing together former and current families, alumni, staff, and neighbors to mark a milestone 25 years in the making.
Guests will tour classrooms, explore the Media Center and historical artifacts, and connect with current and former staff and students.
“Twenty-five years ago, ISD opened its doors with a vision: to develop lifelong learners and responsible citizens of the world,” said Principal Phil Hammack. “Today, that vision is very much alive in every classroom, every student, and every family who has been part of our community. We have spent a quarter century teaching, modeling, and celebrating the IB learner profile – nurturing students who are inquirers, thinkers, risk-takers, communicators, and caring, open-minded people ready to contribute to the world.
“We are so proud of what this community has built together,” Mr. Hammack added, “and we cannot wait to welcome everyone back to honor ISD’s inspiring past, its dynamic present, and the promising future still ahead.”
Third Grade Teacher and IB Coordinator Ms. Rosanna Sangermano said: “This milestone anniversary is a celebration of the incredible community that has brought our IB mission to life over the last 25 years. Together, we have empowered our students to think critically, act compassionately, and engage meaningfully with the world around them. We are especially excited to welcome back our past teachers and staff whose dedication and passion have left a lasting impact on our community through the years.”
