Greenwich Students Make News at Lafayette College

Two Greenwich students made dean’s list during spring 2015 semester at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania.

Ashley Allee a graduate of The Masters School and Luis Wenhammar, a graduate of Greenwich High School. Each student achieved at least a 3.60 semester grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Greenwich students were among 595 undergraduate students in the Class of 2015 awarded degrees during the College’s 180th Commencement, including Ashley Allee, with a bachelor of science in biology , Elizabeth Manus, with a bachelor of arts in psychology and Matthew Schmitt who graduated with a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering .

Erik Weihenmayer, world renowned blind adventurer, author, and filmmaker was the principal speaker for the Class of 2015. “What if adversity weren’t the enemy, but the pathway, the pathway to change?” asked Weihenmayer in his speech. “The light within you is stronger than the barriers in your way…Commit to nurturing that light.”

Lafayette is a top liberal arts college with 2,400 students and 215 full-time faculty that offers a wide variety of undergraduate degree programs including engineering.
