Woman Found Sleeping on Front Porch of Private Residence Had Outstanding Warrant

On Wednesday, Aug 14 Greenwich Police responded to a residence in the area of Mason Street on a report of a homeless woman sleeping on the front porch of a private residence.

Upon arrival the woman was uncooperative and refused to answer questions.

One of the officers on scene recognized the woman, identified as Tessa Bethune, 32, of Washington Blvd in Stamford, from previous incidents.

Police determined that Ms Bethune had an outstanding warrant for a 2017 incident in Clinton, CT.

Bethune was charged with Failure to Appear 2.

Her bond was set at $5,000 which she was unable to post. She was assigned a date in Middletown Superior Court on Aug 28, 2019.

According to the CT Judicial Branch website, Ms. Bethune was arrested by Greenwich Police  in May 11, 2017 and charged with Hit and Run.

On Nov 13, 2017 she was charged with Failure to Appear 2. And on Aug 1, 2019 she was again charged with Failure to Appear.
