With Apple Store Arrest, GPD String of Arrests for Fraudulent Activity Continues

On Jan 8 about 3:30pm Greenwich Police officers became aware of possible fraudulent activity at the Apple store at 356 Greenwich Avenue.

Officers determined that a male suspect, later identified as Brandon Prensa, 25, of 2386 Ryer Ave in Bronx, NY, had attempted to fraudulently purchase two iPhone X cellphones with a recommended retail price of $1,449 by using personal identifying information of another person with a Verizon Wireless account.

Officers detained Mr. Prensa and it was determined that he had traveled to Greenwich to engage in fraudulent activity. He was charged with Criminal Attempt Larceny 3rd degree and Identity Theft 3rd degree.

His bond was set at $2,500 and he was a date in Stamford Superior Court on Jan 22, 2019.
