Violation of Protective Order for Man with History of Arrests in Greenwich

On Sunday multiple Greenwich Police officers responded to 56 Riverdale Ave on a report of a violation of a protective order in progress.

Esteban Sabourne, 67, of Hallett St in Bridgeport, was located on scene and taken into custody. He was charged with Violation of a Protective Order, Stalking 1, and Criminal Trespass 1 and held on a $50,000 bond. He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Jan 1, 2021.

Sabourne, who is familiar to Greenwich Police, was found to have 2 active warrants for his arrest, both stemming from the same protective order. One recent incident was on the morning of Nov 10, 2020 and one on Oct 4, 2020.

Sabourne is known to Greenwich Police.

Back on April 29, Mr. Sabourne was charged with Violating a Protective Order, Interfering with an Officer, Criminal Trespass 1 and Failure to Comply with Fingerprinting Requirements after he went to the residence on Riverdale Ave and rang the doorbell multiple times.

A week earlier, on April 20, he repeatedly went to the residence, and despite being warned, returned again and waited outside after receiving no response at the door.

Sabourne’s arrests go back to 2017, when on Jan 15, was arrested and charged with Stalking 3, Criminal Trespass 1, and Refusing to be Fingerprinted following another incident on Riverdale Ave. At the time, police said the resident was concerned because Sebourne continued to show up at her house, as he had at her previous address, claiming to be married to her.
