Vigilant Witness Helps Greenwich Police Snag Burglar at 3:45am

On Thursday at about 3:45am, numerous Greenwich Police units were detailed to 5 Putnam Green on the report of two individuals entering vehicles.

After a canvass of the area by officers on scene, a subject, later to be identified as Steven Rodas, 24, of 125 Poningo St in Port Chester, NY, was observed to be wearing the same clothing as described by a witness. Further investigation revealed Rodas was in possession of property that was taken from a vehicle entered during the overnight hours.

Rodas was placed under arrest for Burglary 3rd degree and Larceny 6th degree.  Rodas was able to post $250 bond and was provided a court date of April 30th in Stamford Superior court. He was released from custody without incident.
