Two Arrested for Scheme to Buy Glock Part with Victim’s Credit Card

Greenwich Police learned from a town resident that they observed suspected fraudulent activity on her credit card statement.

A subsequent investigation revealed that an unknown party had utilized the victim’s credit card, without permission and attempted to have a part for a Glock pistol delivered to the victim’s residence in the area of North Maple Ave in Greenwich.

On January 5, surveillance efforts by plain clothes officers identified two suspects believed to have conspired to obtain the package from the victim’s residence.

Two people were arrested – a youthful offender who was 17 at the age of the incident and therefore will not have their identity released – and Yojairo Chutan, 19, of Stamford.

Both were charged with Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 6 and Criminal Attempt Larceny 6.

The youthful offender was released with no bond and assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Jan 19.

Bond for Mr. Chutan was set at $1,000, which he was able to post. He shares the court date in Stamford on Jan 19.
