Trio of New York Men Busted for Shoplifting in Cos Cob

On Sunday police were alerted that a shoplifting had just occurred in Cos Cob and responding officers spotted a 2011 Nissan traveling in the area occupied by the three suspects.

The Nissan had expired registration and the driver, later identified as Rashawn Malik, did not have a driver’s license.

Police also located shoplifted items in the car along with some marijuana.

Arrested were Hamed Jay Myrthil Pierre, 22, from Brooklyn; Rawshawn R Malik, 21, from Brooklyn; and Keone Germain, 23, from New York City.

Mr. Pierre was charged with Larceny 6 and Possession of a Controlled Substance. His bond was set at $1,000.

Mr. Malik was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 6, Illegal Possession, Driving without a License and Driving an Unregistered Vehicle. His bond was also set at $1,000.

Mr. Germain was charged with Larceny 6 and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

All three men share a date in Stamford Superior Court on Dec 23, 2019.
