On Wednesday, July 18, at about 11:00am, Greenwich Police were directed to an address on Rocky Point Rd in Old Greenwich on a report of two suspects attempting to steal bicycles.
Police found one of the suspects, Michael Zimmerman, 18, of 56 Perna Lane in Stamford riding a motor bike he had stolen early int he day from Stamford.
Zimmerman and a female accomplice, Katie Cruz, 18, of 33 Hillside Ave in Stamford, were caught in the process of stealing another motor bike.
Zimmerman was charged with Larceny 5, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 5, and Criminal Trespass 2.
Cruz was charged with criminal Trespass 2 and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 5.
Bond was set at $5,000 for each suspect. Neither was able to post bond. They were both assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on August 1, 2018.
