Three Car Accident on West Putnam Ave Results in Injury

On May 20th around 8:00am, a car stopped to turn from West Putnam Ave onto Prospect was rear ended by a second car.

Subsequently, a third car collided into the back of the second car. According to Greenwich Police Lt. Kraig Gray, the first two drivers who were traveling at the speed limit, were not injured.

However, the third driver, whose airbag deployed, had extensive front end damage to his car and complained of face and chest pain from the airbag deployment and seatbelt. He relayed that he thought the cars in front of him were going faster than they were.

Suddenly struck from behind by vehicle three who related that he slammed into the back of vehicle two. The cars were all heading west on West Putnam Ave at the time of the crash.
