Jhonny Jose Rosero-Quevedo, 19, of 56 Wilbur Peck Court in Greenwich was arrested by Greenwich Police on Nov 1 just after midnight following an incident at the gas station on the corner of East Putnam Ave and Indian Field Road.
According to Greenwich Police Lt. Slusarz, police responded to the gas station on a report of a robbery.
On scene investigation revealed that the offender, Mr. Rosero-Quevedo had stolen an electronic cigarette from a juvenile and run from the scene.
According to Lt Slusarz, around midnight there was a youth sitting on a wall at the gas station when another young person, later revealed to be Rosero-Quevedo, came up to the victim and asked for a drag of the e-cigarette. Rosero-Quevedo took the e-cigarette and ran away, but the victim called police as he followed the suspect.
The juvenile was upset and visibly shaken by the incident.
Rosero-Quevedo was released after posting $50 bond.
He was charged with Larceny 6 and Disorderly Conduct and assigned a court date Nov 15, 2017 in Stamford Superior Court.
