Teen Charged for Old Greenwich Land Rover Theft; More Cars Missing

Greenwich Police have made an arrest for the Sept 7, 2019 theft of a Land Rover from Keofferam Road in Old Greenwich.

Daniel Gillespy, 19, of Stratford was charged on Tuesday with Larceny first degree.

Gillespy was unable to post his court set bond of $50,000, and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Aug 25, 2020.

Police say they have an arrest warrant for a second car thief in this incident.

Another arrest of a Greenwich car thief was made by Bridgeport Police this week. In this case a juvenile offender was arrested for stealing a Honda from Armstrong Court on Aug 9, 2020.

“He had the keys for it in his pocket when caught by Bridgeport,” said Greenwich Police Lt Zuccerella.

Police also recovered a stolen Mercedes Benz that had been left unlocked on Cat Rock Road.

Lastly a Nissan was stolen from North Maple Ave on Aug 12. Thieves abandoned it in the road with the keys inside.

On Aug 6 a Range Rover was reported stolen from Overlook Drive in Milbrook at 5:51am.
