Teen Busted on GHS Campus with Marijuana Packaged for Sale

Renolson Ezekiel Dume, 19, of 78 Oak Ridge Street was arrested on March 27 around 10:00am after an incident on Hillside Road in Greenwich.

Police were detailed to Greenwich High School on a report of a student in possession of marijuana. Upon arrival, officers met with school administration along with a school security officer who explained that an anonymous report had been received from a student conveying knowledge of another student on campus with marijuana. The student was interviewed by the school administrator who was able to confirm and take possession of a green leafy substance they believed to be marijuana.

Mr. Dume was charged with Illegal Possession under 4 oz, Possession with Intent to Sell Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana within 1,500 ft of a school and Possession with Intent to Sell within 1,500 ft of a school.

According to police the suspicion was confirmed as the substance tested positive for THC and was packaged in four glassine bags, one of which contained six smaller glassine bags, indicating it was packaged for sale/distribution.

His bond was set at $25,000 and he was assigned a court date in Stamford Superior Court on April 3, 2017.
