Suspects Charged after Attempt to Steal a Fraudulently Delivered Package

On Tuesday Greenwich Police responded to a report of a trio attempting to steal a package that was fraudulently delivered to a residence on Doubling Road.

According to Greenwich Police Lt Nemecek, the case involved credit card fraud of an American Express card. He said three men in a Mercedes approached a Fed Ex driver asking whether a package had been delivered to a residence in on Doubling Road.

Police received a description of the car and found it in the neighborhood.

The parcel contained clothing ordered from a department store.

Police arrested Kevin Reimer, 23, of 200 W 131 Street in New York, NY; Alonza Georgia, 18, of 300 W 131 Street in New York, NY; and Sekou Swarby of no permanent address.

All three were charged with Criminal Attempt to Receive Goods or Services Obtained Illegally and Conspiracy to Commit or Receive Goods or Services Obtained Illegally.

Bond for all three was set at $5,000 each and they have a court date in Stamford Superior Court on Oct 4, 2017.

None of the suspects was able to post bond and were detained in a cell block at Greenwich Police Department.
