On March 20 Greenwich Police arrested two New York men for an incident on Greenwich Avenue involving their attempt to return counterfeit merchandise to a retail store in the place of the original product in an attempt to defraud and falsely deprive the victim business of $3,650.
A subsequent search of the suspects’ car revealed additional counterfeit merchandise.
Zhiwei Dong, 18 of Brooklyn and Wenze Chen, 17, of Flushing, NY were both charged with Larceny 3 and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 3.
Bond for each was set at $10,000. They were each able to post their bond and were assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on April 3, 2024.
