The Stamford Police Department arrested one of their own on July 24. Officer Gregory Zach was wanted on charges stemming from a domestic violence incident.
Officer Zach was charged with Strangulation in the 2nd Degree, Threatening in the 2nd Degree (2 Counts), Assault in the 3rd Degree (4 Counts) and Disorderly Conduct (3 Counts).

The officer was released from custody on a $10,000 bond. He was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday in Stamford.
According to a release from Stamford Police, Officer Zach has been with the Stamford Police Department since July of 2005 and is currently on administrative leave pending an administrative inquiry.
The Stamford Police Department takes allegations of domestic violence very seriously and we will continue to work with and support the victim in this matter.
