Sharp Eyes of Plain-Clothes Officers Leads to More Arrests on Greenwich Ave

Greenwich Police plain-clothes officers working in the central Greenwich business district on April 3 observed suspicious activity at a local retailer.

Patrol officers and plain-clothes officers were able to detain and identify Anijah Dixon, 30, of Brooklyn, NY and his two co-conspirators.

Investigation revealed that Mr. Dixon and his co-conspirators acted in concert to shoplift $598 worth of merchandise from a local retailer.

Additionally, police say that upon being detained Mr. Dixon provided two counterfeit identification cards bearing different victim’s names, one of them featured his face, in an attempt to avoid providing his real pedigree information.

While being processed he then provided additional false name in an intentional effort to interfere with the police investigation.

Dixon was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 5, Criminal Impersonation (2 counts), Forgery 2 (2 counts) and Interfering with an Officer/Resisting.

He was unable to post his $100,000 bond and assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on April 19, 2024.

Also arrested were Shenel Edwards, 36 of Brookyn, NY and Fendi Vance, 33, of Flushing, NY. They were each charged with Larceny 5 and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 5 with a bond set at $1,000 which both were able to post. They share a date in court on April 19.
