On Friday July 8, 2016, Greenwich Police received information from an employee at the Hyatt Hotel in Old Greenwich that Mark Cunniffe, 58, a hotel guest, a registered sex offender from California, had been staying at the hotel for approximately 30 days.
Police report that Mr. Cunniffe whose current residence is in in Oxnard, California had not checked in with Greenwich Police.
Police responded to the Hyatt Hotel and observed Cunniffe, who was positively identified via his passport card, sitting out in front of the hotel.
Mr. Cunniffe was placed under arrest and charged with Failure To Register. He was issued a court appearance date on July 15 in Stamford Superior Court and was released from custody on a $2,500 bond.
