School Cafeteria Lunch Money Thief Arrested

A former Greenwich Public Schools employee who was caught stealing children’s lunch money while running a cafeteria cash register in Greenwich Public Schools back in Feb. 2012, was arrested on Nov. 5 and charged with Failure to Appear.

The former food service worker, James E. Harris, 38, of 16 Ritch Ave., Apt #B in Greenwich, turned himself in at Greenwich Police headquarters at 11:00pm on Wednesday on an active PRAWN warrant stemming from the Failure to Appear charges. The original charge was Larceny in the 3rd degree.

The PRAWN warrant was issued by Stamford Superior Court following Harris’ Failure to Appear. Bond was set at $25,000, which Harris was able to post. He has a court date scheduled for Nov. 12, 2014 in Stamford Superior Court.
