Pregnant Woman Sustains Road Rash Abrasion Injuries; Driver Faces Multiple Charges

An Englewood, New Jersey man was arrested on Aug 15 on an active warrant stemming from an incident on Aug 8.

Police said that that on that date, around 6:50am they responded to a report of a possible vehicular assault in the driveway of a private residence on Harold Ave.

Police say that when they arrived a pregnant victim was found with road rash abrasion injuries.

The victim stated that she had been run over during an altercation with the suspect, Thandiwe N Victor, 32, over her keys. Further she said the suspect had driven away from the scene with her car keys and then repeatedly tried texting and calling her at the hospital in violation of a protective order.

Mr. Victor was arrested and charged with Evasion of Responsibility in Operation of Motor Vehicle that Causes Injury, Larceny 6, Harassment 2, Violation of Protective Order (two counts) and Assault 2 of an Elderly, Blind, Disabled or Pregnant Person.

He was unable to post his $750,000 bond and was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on August 16, 2023.
