Police Catch up with Driver Who Ran Red Light and Crashed on Railroad Ave

A man turned himself into Greenwich Police on Saturday morning on an outstanding warrant. Christopher F Scucato, 24, of Willet Ave in Port Chester was released from the ER at Greenwich Hospital and called GPD to say he was in town and wanted to surrender.

Officers arrived at the hospital ER and were met by Scucato.

Back on April 28, 2018 10:30pm was involved in a crash in the area of Railroad Ave.

According to Lt Slusarz, Mr. Scucato, who was driving a Ford Mustang, ran a red light and crashed into a car that was stopped on Railroad Ave facing west waiting to turn.

Scucato was taken to the hospital and police later obtained a warrant for his arrest.

He was charged with DUI, No License, Failure to Carry Insurance Registration, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Obey Control Signals.

His bond was set at $10,000, which he was able to post. Scucato has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Dec 9, 2019.
