Police Arrest Suspect for 2017 Credit Card Fraud

Greenwich police say that on Jan 26 they received notification from Bridgeport Police Dept that they had detained local man with an active warrant out of Greenwich.

Greenwich Police say that back on Jan 11, 2017 a Byram resident reported fraudulent activity on a credit card. After an investigation an arrest warrant was obtained for Tracey Carouthers, now 51, of Atlantic Street in Bridgeport.

Greenwich Police traveled to Bridgeport to arrest Carouthers. He was transported back to Greenwich and processed.

He was charged with Forgery 3, two counts of Criminal Impersonation, two counts of Identity Theft 3 and two counts of less than $500 on Revoked Payment Card.

His bond was set at $25,000, which he was unable to post. He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Feb 3, 2020.
