Police Arrest Man with Outstanding Warrant at Greenwich Train Station

On Jan 18, Greenwich Police received information that a suspect, Marcus Williams, 36, of 105 Sickles Ave in New Rochelle was at the Greenwich Train station. Mr. Williams had an active arrest warrant.

Police located Mr. Williams who was arrested and charged for Interfering with an Officer and Criminal Violation of a Restraining order for an incident that stemmed back to October 19.

Greenwich Police Lt Slusarz said that back in October, a Greenwich Police officer who knew both the victim and offender from previous contacts was on patrol when he saw the offender was in violation of a protective order. When he attempted to intervene and there was a conflict, after which Mr. Williams fled, which triggered an additional charge of Interfering with an Officer.

Williams’ bond was set at $20,000, which he was unable to post. He was held at Greenwich Police Station until his date in Stamford Superior Court the following day, Jan 19, 2018.
