Police Arrest another Alleged Car Thief; This One 18 from West Haven

Greenwich Police arrested a West Haven, CT teen, Jerimiah Villacis, 18, of West Haven CT on Feb 11 on charges stemming from an incident on Orchard Street in Cos Cob.

On Feb 11 Greenwich Police were contacted by Connecticut State Police who informed them of the arrest of two subjects currently in their custody. The first was identified as Mr. Villacis, 18. The name of the second subject was not released as the person was a juvenile.

State police advised the Mr. Villacis and the juvenile were placed in custody after fleeing  from a motor vehicle collision on I-95 near exit 17 within the city limits of Norwalk. A DMV inquiry revealed the vehicle was stolen.

Based on additional interviews of the suspects it was determined they had stolen a second vehicle in Greenwich.

Villacis was charged with Larceny of Motor Vehicle 1st offense and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny of Motor Vehicle 1st offense.

He was released on a promise to appear in Court on Feb 19.
