A man and woman from Rocky Hill, CT were arrested by Greenwich Police on Friday afternoon after plain clothes officers were notified of suspicious activity in Saks Fifth Avenue involving a past shoplifter.
Stephanie Michelle Fonda, 43, was detained within the suspects’ vehicle and on scene investigation revealed that she had two counterfeit $20 bills in her purse as well as presumed “crack” cocaine and 22 pieces of related drug paraphernalia.
She was charged with Use of Drug Paraphernalia (22 counts), Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd offense, and Forgery 1 (2 counts).
She has a date in Stamford Superior Court on June 6, 2025.
Also arrested was David Anthony Fonda, 41. Police detained Mr. Fonda and investigation revealed $1131 worth of clothing he allegedly stole from Saks.
A search incident to arrest revealed Mr. Fonda was in possession of two shoplifting devices, presumed “crack” cocaine and two pieces of drug related paraphernalia.
he was charged wit two counts of use of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Controlled Substance, Larceny 4 and two counts of Illegal Possession of Shoplifting Device.
His bond was set at $10,000 which he was unable to post. He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on June 6, 2025.
