Norwalk Man Charged with DUI after Incident on Byram Rd

police stationAnton Gian Lopez, 35, of 94 Washington St in Norwalk was arrested on Aug 2 around 2:15am after Greenwich Police patrolling West Putnam Ave in Byram observed a white Jeep Wrangler fail to use its right turn signal when making a turn onto Byram Rd and cross over the double yellow line.

While performing an on scene investigation, the driver, Mr. Lopez, had a distinct odor emanating from on and about his person and vehicle consistent with consumption of alcoholic beverage.

Mr. Lopez was also observed to be lethargic, unfocused and unsteady on his feet when exiting his vehicle.

Lopez was issued a series of field sobriety tests which he failed to perform to standard.

He was arrested and charged with DUI, Fail to Drive in Proper Lane and Restricted Turns Fail Signal. He has a date in Stamford Superior court on Aug. 16 and was released after posting a $250 bond.
