New Year’s Day Traffic Stop on Delavan Ave Results in Multiple Charges

Greenwich Police cars, newGreenwich Police Officers on patrol in the area of New Lebanon Ave and Delavan Ave on New Year’s Day observed an eastbound vehicle cross the double yellow line on Delavan Ave and weave within the eastbound lane of travel.

A motor vehicle stop was conducted and through further investigation, it was determined that the operator, identified as Antonio Nolasco, 30, of Charles St in Greenwich, had red glassy eyes and the odor associated with the consumption of alcoholic beverages emanating from his person and breath. Nolasco was asked to submit to a series of standardized field sobriety tests, which he was unable to perform to standard.

A DMV inquiry additionally revealed that he did not possess a valid driver’s license and had been issued a suspended license by the Connecticut DMV.

Nolasco was arrested and charged with DUI, Failure to Drive Right, Operating Without a License and Operating a Motor Vehicle Under Suspension.

Nolasco was able to post bond of $250, and was released from custody. He was assigned a court date of Jan. 15, 2015 at Stamford Superior Court.
