Multiple Charges for Drunk Driver Include Tampering with Ignition Interlock Device

On Nov 30 around 7:00pm, Greenwich Police stopped a driver who had been observed traveling south on I95 and failing to maintain his lane.

Police stopped the driver, later identified as Pedro R Poroj, 36, of 20 Grove Street in New York and detected the distinct odor of alcoholic beverages. Investigation revealed Poroj did not perform field sobriety tests to standard.

He was charged with DUI, Failure to Drive in Proper Lane and Section 14-227k, which is Avoidance of or Tampering with Ignition Interlock Device (second offense).

His bond was set at $500, which he was able to post. He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Dec 14, 2017.
