Bronx Man Charged after Using Forged Documents at Greenwich Ave Bank

On Thursday afternoon around 3:00pm, Greenwich Police stopped a car whose occupants were suspected of committing a financial crime in the area of 197 Greenwich Avenue, which is the address associated with Chase Bank.

Investigation revealed that the passenger in the car, Jonathan Donaldson, 38, of Bronx, NY, had used forged identity documents in an attempt to withdraw and gain account information from multiple banks.

Donaldson was arrested and charged with Forgery 2 (2 counts), Criminal Impersonation (2 counts), Identity Theft 3 (2 counts), and Larceny 6.

He bond was set at $10,000 which he was unable to post. He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on March 5, 2020.
