Two cars were stolen last week in Greenwich. The first, a 2006 BMW 750 went missing in the overnight hours between Feb 27 and Feb 28 from Marshall Street ff Havemeyer Lane. It had been left unlocked with the keys left in it.
According to Lt Mark Zuccerella, detectives recovered the BMW in New Haven relatively quickly.
The other car was a 2017 Mercedes stolen around 2:00am on Monday from a driveway on Scott Lane in Banksville.
Lt Zuccerella said police have received reports of people having their cars rummaged through in the area of The Avenue, which is also in Banksville.
“Lock it or lose it,” Zuccerella warned.
