Million Dollar Bond for Fugitive from Justice From Justice Found Selling Candy

Greenwich Police were detailed to 1233 East Putnam Ave, Riverside Common Shopping Center on Oct. 13 at about 1pm, to investigate the report of a male selling candy, portraying himself a member of the Boys and Girls Club, and possibly soliciting without a permit.

The male subject was located directly outside of CVS and was identified as Terrel L. Smith, 25, who resides in Jersey City, NJ.

Greenwich Police did not have any criminal violations that occurred within this jurisdiction, however, they discovered Mr. Smith was wanted on warrants issued by the state of New Jersey to the Hudson County Sheriffs Office.

The warrants were active, verified, and extraditable.

Mr. Smith was placed under arrest and processed as a Fugitive. His bond was set at $1,000,000 due to his fugitive status. He was assigned a court date on Oct. 19 in Stamford Superior Court.
