Man Charged with Larceny and Possession of a Shoplifting Device for Incident at CVS

On March 12 Greenwich Police responded to CVS in Riverside on the report of a shoplifting incident in progress.

Officers were met by a CVS Loss Prevention officer who had detained the shoplifter with the items he had allegedly stolen. The shoplifter was identified as Eugene Holloway, 60, of 168-20 107th Ave in Jamaica NY.

The CVS Loss Prevention Officer advised Greenwich Police that he had witnessed Holloway remove items from shelves in the store and exit without paying.

Mr. Holloway was arrested and charged with Larceny 4th degree and Possession of a Shoplifting Device. His bond was set at $2,500, which he was unable to post. Holloway has a court date in Stamford Superior Court on March 21, 2016.
