Man Arrested after Falling Asleep at the Wheel on Brookside Drive

Around 7:30pm on Saturday night Greenwich Police observed a car stopped on the road on Brookside Drive and the driver appeared to be asleep behind the wheel.

Further investigation revealed the driver had ingested heroin prior to driving the car. Five folds of a brown powder substance presumed to be heroin and a hypodermic needle were located in the vehicle.

Justin Andrew Ingram-Rinaldi, 29, of 65 Cherry Street in Waterbury was charged with DUI, Traffic Control Signals, Drug Paraphernalia and Illegal Possession.

His bond was set at $150, which he was able to post. He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on July 30, 2018.
