Mail Carrier’s Push-Cart Targeted by Thief on Hamilton Avenue on Saturday

Greenwich Police reported there was a Larceny on Hamilton Avenue on July 29 after a mail carrier’s push-cart was targeted.

Police say mail and packages were stolen mail from a mail carrier’s push cart around noon, when the mail carrier noticed packages and some letters missing.

Greenwich Police Lt David Nemecek said the US Postal Services has its own lists of offenses, tampering with any mail is a federal offense.

“The post master will look into their own charges, but for us we look at it as a larceny,” Nemecek said.
