Man Charged for Alleged Christmas Eve Sexual Assault in Greenwich

Abdoul-aziz Mara Ndiaye, 25, of 214 Echo Place in the Bronx, was arrested and charged with Sexual Contact without Consent for an incident that allegedly took place on Christmas Eve 2015 in Greenwich.

On Dec. 26, the victim appeared at Greenwich Police headquarters to make a complaint  of inappropriate touching by a suspect known to the victim in a professional manner, Mr. Ndiaye. On Dec. 28, Mr. Ndiaye was interviewed at the Greenwich Police station about the alleged incident.

After the interview, police determined probable cause existed. An arrest warrant was applied for and later granted by Stamford Superior Court.

On March 11, Greenwich Police responded to the local business where Mr. Ndiaye, known as “Mara,” works.

He was placed under arrest and transported to the police station, advised of his rights and charged with Sexual Assault 4th degree. His bond was set at $1,000, which Mr. Ndiaye posted through a Stamford bail bondsman. He was released and has a court date set for March 18, 2016 in Stamford Superior Court. The victim was advised of Mr. Ndiaye’s arrest.
