Local Woman Arrested following Hand-to-Hand Heroin Transaction

On Oct 19 Greenwich Police arrested a Byram woman after a plain clothes officer observed her involved in a hand-to-hand drug transaction. The incident took place on Oct 19 around 7:00pm on West Putnam Avenue.

The accused was determined to be the purchaser in the transaction that was later determined to be for heroin.

After being advised of her rights, Shelby Nicole Fortunato, 27, of 141 North Water Street in Byram confessed to purchasing heroin within the Town of Greenwich.

Ms. Fortunato was charged with Possession of Narcotics and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

She was released on a promise to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Nov 2, 2018.

Also arrested in the case was Kevon Tracee Williams, 25, of Cove Rd in Stamford. He was observed in the hand-to-hand transaction and was charged with Sale of Narcotics. He was released on a promise to appear in court and shares Ms. Fortunato’s date in court on Nov 2, 2018.
