On Tuesday around 10:45 Greenwich Police responding to a report of an assault. At the hotel police observed numerous narcotics and drug paraphernalia in plain view.
Police say that a woman, Melania Arias, 22, of 195 Hoyt St in Brooklyn, NY, was found to have Marijuana, Xanax and Ketamine in her purse.
While handcuffed Arias lunged at narcotics that officers were about to photograph for evidence. Police say she then began to ingest an unknown amount of narcotics. She was told to spit them out, which eventually she did.
She was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Controlled Substance Greater than 1/2 oz Cannabis , Possession of hallucinogenic substance other than marijuana or four ounces or more of a cannabis-type substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tampering with Evidence and Interfering with Officer/Resisting Arrest.
Her bond was set at $500 which she was unable to post. She was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on August 15, 2018.
