Greenwich Woman Charged with Criminal Mischief and Threatening

On June 30 Greenwich Police responded to Cos Cob on a report of possible active threats being made toward a subject’s vehicle and residence.

Investigating officers on scene determined that the involved parties had been texting, which resulted in multiple threats being made over text toward the victim. It was determined that the suspect, Suwimol Sompan, 32, of Greenwich had texted multiple times stating that she would kill the victim and burn his house down.

It was also determined that Ms Sompan had scratched the victim’s car causing deep scratch marks in multiple places on the vehicle.

Sompan was subsequently arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief 3rd degree and Threatening 2nd degree. Her bond was set at $1,000 which she was able to post.

She was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on July 3, 2023.
