Greenwich Police arrested a Greenwich man earlier this month after officers were dispatched to an apartment complex on the east side of town on a report of a physical altercation where a knife was displayed.
Officers arrived on scene to find the victim with injuries sustained from an assault. Investigation determined Robert Hayward, 68, did assault and choke the victim.
Hayward was charged on the night of June 2 with Disorderly Conduct, Assault 3rd degree, Strangulation/Suffocate 2nd degree, and Unlawful restraint 1st degree. He was assigned a court date the follo9wing day in Stamford Superior Court.
His bond was set at $10,000.
